Rexburg has hosted an international experience here for everyone to enjoy for 30 years now. It is a huge undertaking to pull off an event of this magnitude. We’ve been able to achieve. You can help by becoming a team guide, volunteer, or host family!
We invite you to sign up to be a host family. Being a host family is a golden opportunity to be at the heart of the festival, and enjoy this unique cultural experience to the fullest. Host families provide clean bedrooms and bathrooms for the performers. Generally, 2-4 performers stay with a family, and they become members of your family for the duration of the festival.
The host families provide all meals and rides to events and get to participate as special guests with their dancers in the Opening Ceremonies at Porter Park, the Rigby Lake Party, and all the other events of the Festival. You will be directly involved with the dancers and given an opportunity to form lasting connections and lifelong memories!
As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to be involved in the various events that will be held the week of Idaho International Dance Festival. We are looking for team guides for each team, interpreters, performance ushers, backstage assistants, volunteers for the parade and street festival, Art Camp enthusiasts, humanitarian aid project supporters, and youth culture devotees.
